We have to return to the ‘30s (precisely 1936) to discover the roots of this success. These were the years when Mr Arunasalam Pillay and Mdm Mariyayi Periannan Pillay, Dr Puravi’s parents, incorporated Arunasalam Pillay Enterprise and established a sundry shop in Teluk Anson, Perak selling cooking ingredients, clothes, household items, appliances and so on...
